Clapham Pottery runs courses for those wanting to learn to throw or to improve their throwing skills.

The emphasis of these classes is on learning the skill of throwing.

This takes time and practice and is not necessarily about the outcome of a finished pot.

Throwing 1

It is about process and mastering the skill.

All classes, which are limited to 8 students, are taught by professional potters with an assistant tutor also on hand.

Courses and costs:
4 consecutive nights Monday-Thursday, 7.00-9.00pm @ £70 These are at the end of our 10 week terms. Third Sunday of the month 1.00-4.00pm @ £45
