Clapham Pottery is a busy self-funding and not-for-profit community pottery, offering pottery classes for all ages and all abilities.

Our next 10 week Summer term of classes will start on Monday 22th April. If there are any places available, these will be showing to book online from Monday 8th April on a “first come, first served” basis.
Many of our Sunday taster classes have spaces, which can now be booked online.

Pottery classes are held during the daytime and evenings for adults and kids, over a 10 week term, with a half term break. Sunday classes for adults are available on a monthly basis.

Clapham Pottery classes are taught by professional, working potters from The North Street Potters, which was established in Clapham in 1978.

We also offer Family Activities.

Whatever your ability, everybody is welcome at Clapham Pottery.

Classes are first come, first serve.

Please note:

Our courses for Summer 2024 will run for 10 weeks with a 1 week break over half term.

Course dates:

22nd April – 26th May

Half term break: 27th May – 2nd June

3rd June – 7th July

Classes and workshops must be paid in full at the time of booking/confirmation. Please ensure you can attend the class before paying the fee because refunds can only be considered if there is at least 2 weeks’ notice. In most cases we will be unable to offer a refund unless there is a significant waiting list and we are able to fill the place/s. As a charity and a community pottery, our fees are kept as accessible and affordable as possible but we need to maintain full attendance in all classes.

Student Clothing Guidelines

Whether you are joining Clapham Pottery for a term or a session, we would ask you to come to class in suitable and safe attire.
This would include:
• Protective footwear, no open-toed shoes in the studio
• Suitable clothing to work in – working with clay can be messy. You will need to bring an apron. We suggest you leave anything special at home!
• Hair tied back
• Jewellery and watches stored safely in your bag or left at home
• Long nails will cause difficulty when handling the clay, we strongly suggest cutting them short and not getting a manicure before your class!

Please take the time to review our terms and conditions when booking.
